Vogue and Connie Ann go to Gold Butte National Monument
While human beings hold a great deal of power, we are also part of a much larger ecosystem, a larger planet, and a larger solar system. As we traveled to Gold Butte National Monument, we thought about connection and scale.

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.

Grateful to stand at the bank of the Virgin River, right outside the Gold Butte National Monument. We shared driving duties, gas money, homemade snacks, hydration reminds, and life lessons along the way. Adventuring is better with friends and a poppin’ playlist. We danced and waved at the river, neither of us apologizing for speaking to nature as if she were one of us. She is.
*All of our travels through Nevada were made possible via a grant from the Conservation Lands Foundation, the only nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting, restoring, and expanding National Conservation Lands through education, advocacy, and partnerships.
Thank you for spending time with our work.
